The company plans to invest a total of 17.8 billion won, which is expected to contribute to the creation of new jobs for 80 people and vitalization of the local economy in the future.

An official from Poonglim Pharmatech said, "We will grow into an export company to the world including the domestic pharmaceutical market, Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe by investing in automation facilities to meet the demand in line with climate change and global aging trend."

In this regard, Poonglim Pharmatech Co., Ltd. plans to establish a disposable mask production facility in the near future in consultation with Gunsan City to resolve the shortage of masks due to the Corona 19 incident.

To this end, the current mask production machine facility line (KF80, KF94, dental cotton mask) has been completed, and production will start as soon as possible by proceeding with the approval process of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

A city official said, “If a mask factory is built, we will be able to substantially alleviate the shortage of masks in the region,” and said, “We will not spare administrative support for this.”

Meanwhile, Poonglim Pharmatech Co., Ltd., established as a medical device wholesale business in July 1999, is headquartered in the Gunsan Free Trade Zone. And has been supplying medical supplies to hospitals.
